Specialist help for families of school aged children with learning obstacles– Education Scaffolding, Resilience and Self Esteem
-
Does your child display a lack of self-esteem or confidence?
-
Are behaviour issues affecting your child’s learning?
-
Do you have a child that “can’t sit still” and get on with homework or concentrate in the classroom?
Carla is a trained neuro educator and has spent most of the past 15 years educating parents of newborns and young children about the correlation of early movement, sensory integration and later learning.

It is unfortunate that there is an increased incidence of Sensory Processing disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia and Spectrum disorders diagnosed in essentially bright children. Many educators and professionals working in this field are reluctant to explore the relationship of neuro physiological obstacles and their effects on learning in a school aged child. All children should follow a predictable element of development, the relationship between movement and learning is slowly beginning to be explored and it is now common place to see PMP programs and other brain exercise routines incorporated into the classroom setting. All of this is positive but it is still only the tip of the iceberg for many underachieving children and their families.

Education Performance

An educational performance practitioner through specialist training works with schools, colleges, universities and other educational organisations to help their students reach their potential. It is common for students to latch onto their weakness rather than their talents and strengths and they can become easily discouraged by negative criticism. Ed performance practitioner has the skill set to helps re-engineer this thinking to give students simple coping strategies to reduce anxiety and ultimately perform at their very best.

The Mindful Child

Mindfulness for young people is a beautiful gift we can give children to allow them to be present in the present and connect with themselves on an emotional, physical, mental and social level. It has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, reactivity and stress driven behaviour, improve sleep and self-esteem, and bring about greater calmness, relaxation, the ability to manage behaviour and emotions, self-awareness and empathy.
