Carla Pahl – Managing Director


Carla has owned and operated Early Childhood Education centres in Hong Kong for more than 20 years. Originally from Australia, Carla is a qualified paediatric registered nurse, a qualified and experienced midwife (ACM) and holds a Neonatal certificate. Carla has been a certified infant massage instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) for 18 years. Carla trained to become a Neuro development therapist in Melbourne Australia in 1997 and has continued to work passionately in this field of Early years motor, sensory development. A mother of four, Carla’s classes are energetic, dynamic and full of excellent parent/carer advice and information. Right from her specialist birth coaching through to newborn babies, pre-walkers, toddlers and kindergarteners Carla’s knowledge has been and continues to be a great resource to Hong Kong parents.

Carla believes in the importance of Early Years foundations to be laid correctly with people who understand and are professionally trained in the area of Early Years foundation teaching they are working in. Carla is experienced in assessing children with cognitive, motor and learning obstacles, and has a private practice supporting children and families with a multifaceted approach.  

Carla is also a Clinical Hypnotherapist, and is a Member of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association, Australian Councillors association, American Hypnosis Association and the Australian Hypnosis Alliance. She has additional training in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy for ADD and ADHD (AHA), Childbirth Hypnotherapy (AHA), is a certified Neuro Linguistic Practitioner (AHA) and an accredited SleepTalk® Consultant. She also has a practitioner Hypnotherapy Diploma in Children and Teens Hypnotherapy (UK) and is a Sheila Granger Education Performance Practitioner (UK).

In her down time, Carla is always singing a tune or playing instruments with toddlers during one of her busy but fun Music Together sessions. Carla became a licensed teacher/director in April 2006 (just 8 weeks before giving birth to her fourth child Scarlett at home in Hong Kong). Carla has written many articles and spoken on many forums as well as being a guest writer for Beijing Parents magazine. Carla hosted a workshop for the World Conference for Early Years educators in Hong Kong in July 2011. Before selling her franchise company in 2001, Carla was the original owner of Toddler Kindy Gymbaroo in Hong Kong, the first to introduce sensory motor classes to the territory.
